The first printing of the recently-discovered "original" version of the music by the little known A.K.A. Bach that later became known as "The Clarinet Polka".

Excerpt from historically inaccurate program note:
"There once lived an obscure composer who hit it really big with a piece for bassoon and piano called “The Bassoon Polka”. This guy needed a hit. He lived in a garret of a four story walk-up with no heat, no air conditioning and broken skylights in the roof. What little he earned as an itinerant music teacher and seller of saxophone reeds, he spent on his rent and food. The reed business was particularly bad because the sax hadn’t been invented yet. He only ate canned spaghetti with tomato sauce because he could warm up the can over a candle. You see those were the days before electricity - which explains why he didn’t have air conditioning.
His name was Al, or to give him his full birth certificate moniker, Alcibiades Kostenlos Albeit Bach. Yes, another one of those unknown and under-appreciated Bachs, like P.D.Q. His friends called him “AKA”."

Unsolicited endorsement (used with permission):
Hi Mr. Weait,

I just want to tell you how much fun my students had last Sunday playing your Bassoon Polka with Interfering Clarinet. The girls memorized the music and performed somewhat of a skit while playing. The proud basson playing diva began her serious rendition of the polka. An indignant clarinetist stormed on to the stage and ripped the diva's crown off her head and began "interfering". During the bassoon interlude, the bassoonist aimed her bell at the clarinetist bazooka style. In the last faster section, the clarinetist raised her bell to the ear of the bassonist every time she had high sextuplets. The piece ended with great energy and was received with lots of laughter and applause from the audience. Thanks for writing a fun piece.

Yours truly,
