A setting of Jacques Paisable's funeral march for Queen Mary II (1662 - 1695). It was published 9n John Banister's "Sprightly Companion", London, 1695, possibly the first English language oboe tutor. Paisable was one of the early oboists and Bannister's teacher. This transcription from the original for 4 double reeds, is for the woodwind section of a concert band without saxophones: piccolo, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, English horn, E-flat clarinet, 3 B-flat clarinets, alto, bass and contrabass clarinets, 3 bassoons and contrabassoon.
